Why
do the act the way they do?
In
life there are so many unanswered questions. Like where does the universe end?
Does it end? What is the universes shape? Does it have a shape or is it like
water? But today I have a question. Not
necessarily a new or an old one. This question has pondered my mind for a while
now. But I am not the only one who has the same question in their mind. Society
is also pondering this question. If we answer this question we answer
everything. My question is what explains why electrons can go through two slits
at the same time.
There are many theories that could be the answer. The
first theory is the Speed theory. This states that since electrons are going so
fast we can’t tell it isn't actually going through both slits. This might
actually explain it because on scale so small things like this could happen. Another
theory is that the electrons don’t go through but in between. This is supported
because some scientist think that electrical charge is strong enough were it
would only seem that it is going through both slit. Also another theory is that
the electrons split. So then when they split, they may be split but there could
be an electrical bond between them so therefore it would pose the illusion. But
since it has almost no mass it might not be able to split or have an atomic
reaction. But none of these conclusions can be validated until we see it. But
there is another that can be verified without looking.
As it would seem we have come back to the illusive string
theory. A theory man created but, yet man can’t understand it. In this theory
it states that protons, electrons and neutrons aren’t actually spherical but
actually like a string. It is saying that they are not actually zero
dimensional but 1 dimensional. This would still satisfy all the properties
because it would still have mass, electrical charge and it flow. But these
electrons don’t really react with the surface. So the string goes through the
slits and in-between and it also goes outside of the slits. So therefore it would satisfy all terms. But this
theory cannot be fully proved till we are able to find dark matter to make
monopoles which would then explain black holes and string theory. But, since we
don’t have a microscope, not even neatly as strong as need to see an atom, all
of this is theoretical. So if you were able to talk to people like the genius
Stephen Hawking, or Albert Einstein then they could only answer that it is
possible and very likely but there is hard core evidence to prove it.
So as some of the most important people and smartest
people alive try to comprehend this theory they all or most of all agree that
string theory is probably the most reasonable. But 4 out of 4 scientists have
to say that it is only probable. So therefore these scientists have to say that
until they are able to discover monopoles and/ or be able to create a
microscope to zoom in on these sub-atomic particles we don’t completely know.
